Service Description
The Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA) provides guidance to public and private sector custodians responsible for products that may pose environmental risks if not properly handled or disposed of. This includes hazardous, toxic, damaged, expired, or substandard products.
REMA ensures that waste disposal aligns with environmental safety standards and regulatory requirements to minimize negative impacts on human health and the ecosystem.
Eligibility Criteria
Entities seeking guidance on waste disposal must:
Be a custodian of products that require safe disposal.
Provide detailed information on the nature and quantity of the waste.
Ensure compliance with national environmental regulations.

To request guidance on waste disposal, applicants must submit a completed application containing:
List of products and quantities: A detailed inventory of items to be disposed of.
Technical Specifications: Information on the composition and nature of the products
