Service Description

In Rwanda, every motorcycleimported must be brand new. However, an exception is made for second-hand motorcycles designed specifically for sports or persons with disabilities. Additionally, two-stroke motorcycles are not permitted for import, except for those intended for sports use.

Eligibility Criteria

Authorization for the import of second-hand motorcycles is granted under the following conditions:

• The motorcycle is designed for sports or for persons with disabilities.

• All required documents are submitted accurately

Application Process

To apply for the authorization, applicants must submit the following:

• Identification Documents (National ID or Passport).

• Technical Data Sheet : Including emission standards and limits for the motorcycle.

• Previous Registration Documents

• Submit the Application to  

Processing Time

The authorization process takes 7 working daysfrom the submission of a complete application.
