Service Description

Ministerial Order No. 006/2008 of 15/08/2008 Regulates the importation and Exportation of ozone layer Depleting substances, products and Equipment containing such Substances

Import and export licenses for these products are issued by competent authorities upon presentation of the necessary documentation, including an authorization letter indicating the importer’s quota, which is issued by the Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA).

Eligibility Criteria

The import or export license is granted when the products meet the following requirements:

• Energy Efficiency Standards

• Refrigerant Requirements

• Blowing Agent Requirements

Apply through the Product Registration System (PRS)via the link: https://ozone.rema.gov.rw/.

Processing Time

The processing time for authorization to import or export these products is 7 working days after the submission of the complete application.
