In her first tour she visited the Kamiranzovu wetland where she discussed with farmers on modern agriculture methods which will avoid the drainage of the wetland.
She then visited Bushekeri sector Nayamasheke District where REMA in collaboration with the District of Nyamasheke helped 17 families that were living in the buffer zone within 50 meters of Lake Kivu showers to build new habitations. Through the Decentralization Environment Management Project(DEMP) REMA also gave cows for every family to facilitate their adaptation in developement progress. Every family benefited also a tank that will help in collecting water.

 
REMA Director General visited the local population of Nkombo  in Rusizi district, an island in Lake Kivu, during the visit the population  received assistance of  fishing equipment to a value of almost 17 million Rwandan francs. The Director General of REMA reminded them  to must  maintain the equipment and manage the money they make from fishing so that poverty will be eradicated on the island of Nkombo.

In her second tour, the Director General of REMA visited RUTSIRO and RUBAVU districts,
At Rutsiro she inaugurated 110 houses built for 600 families that lived at KINYENKANDA in Gishwati natural forest. Families have moved to BITENGA in Ruhango Sector, Rutsiro District .

In Kivumu and Nyamyumba Sectors, the Director General of REMA gave fishing equipments worth 40 millions donated in two installments to cooperatives with over 2,000 members; this will contribute to the development of this population that depend on fishing. The project DEMP supervised the plantation of 50 meters of elephant grass reeds from the shores of Lake Kivu, which has contributed to increased production of fishing.

At RUBAVU the Director General of REMA joined the people who lived on RUBAVU hill in community work "Umuganda" to reinforce 20 houses built for vulnerable families. On the hill the  population of more than 1,000 people had devastated forests to find enough land for housing and culture, now under REMA senzitazation  through RUBAVU District helped these families move to KARUGOGO where community work took place.
