TRAINING ON PDD WRITING (Rubavu district, 30th April-04th May 2012)
The big challenge for Rwanda and most least developing countries in initiating CDM project, is a high cost related to writing CDM project documents and commissioning consultant from outside the country. It is in this regard, that REMA is organizing a 5 day training for local consultants on development of CDM project document and familiarizing to the United Nations procedures for submission of CDM documents. WORKSHOP ON LEGAL & REGULATORY FRAMEWORK ON CLEAN DEVELOPMENT MECHANISM

Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA), in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has organized a two-day workshop on the legal and regulatory framework regarding Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
The workshop which took place from 22nd to 23rd 2012 brought together different stakeholders in CDM namely Government Financial institutions, Domestics Banks, Private Sector, staff working within CDM Designated National Authorities (DNAs) and different Officials from Ministries, agencies and NGOs. The main target is to build capacity and discuss options on how to harmonize domestic laws, regulations and policies for CDM Investment and Carbon Trading

DNA TECHNICAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS
From 13th to 15th December 2011, Rwanda DNA Organized a training for his Technical committee, this training aimed at reviewing criteria for Approving CDM project in Republic of Rwanda and to have a clear understanding on CDM program of Activities (PoA), Currently DNA has received 3 PoA requesting a letter of Approval, two of them are related to dissemination of improved cook stove and the remaining one is related to replace Fuel lamp by Solar rechargeable LED Lamp. All this projects are cross borders initiative that is why technical committee members had a detailed training on Development and criteria of program of Activities. The session was attended by different ministries and Public institution, such as MINIRENA,MINICOM,MINAGRI,RDB,RNRA,KIST,UNR,EWSA,PSF,RENGOF
